The Hogeschool Utrecht is an institution with approximately 37,000 students divided among 2 different cities. It arose from a fusion in 1995 of several higher education. Until that time it was quite difficult for students to find their ways in the study system of the Utrecht region; there were many institutions offering exactly the same courses. The fusion made the Hogeschool Utrecht a colourful collection of old schools with a great reputation and a collection of beautiful old building to new modern ones. It made the Hogeschool Utrecht a place with old cultures and traditions and new influences and people. Nowadays, the Hogeschool Utrecht still profits from its fusion. It offers diverse and extended training opportunities, accessible study facilities, study possibilities in both Utrecht and Amersfoort.
