hi! So I’ve been offered a program at Tilburg. Would appreciate feedback as to whether I should either:
a) Choose accommodation provided by the housing from the uni which is more expensive. On the plus side I will have more international students to interact with
b) choose accommodation from the agency which provides rooms for students. This is a bit cheaper as I can choose unfurnished rooms.
I do have Dutch friends already who can always help me out buy second hand furniture btw. I’m just a bit torn since money is a huge concern.
Thanks for your feedback.
It depends how long you are coming for.
If you are staying for approx six months I would go with the university housing solution as this would save you time and you will have a great experience with the other international students.
However, if you are staying one year or longer, then it will most definitely pay off to go for an unfurnished apartment (preferably somewhere close to the university or city center) so you save mmoney and have a comfortable place to call home.
Hope this helps 🙂
