I’ve just added 14 links to the Links Database of the homepages of the main universities in the Netherlands. I will add some more links to alternative universities soon, as well as links to the universities of professional education.
Hope this helps 🙂January 19, 2005 at 2:54 pm #579
I just wanted to tell you about TEIMUN:
The European International Model United Nations (TEIMUN) at http://www.teimun.nl, is an annual United Nations simulation conference for university students across the globe. It is held in The Hague http://www.thehague.nl/, the Netherlands. TEIMUN gives you the opportunity to experience the working and decision-making process of the United Nations through role-playing in one of the organs simulated, helping participants to gain a multicultural view of world affairs and to develop public speaking and debating experiences.
TEIMUN will take place at the beginning of July/end of June. Stay tuned to their website, as more information will become available soon!
BTW you will be able to find me at TEIMUN 2005 😉 Hope to see you there as well!January 22, 2005 at 10:14 pm #580

Are you coming to study in Groningen in the coming semester (starting somewhere around this time)? Then you may want to sign up for the introduction week of WINGS-ESN. This introduction week will take place from 4 February to 7 February. In this programme, they will introduce you to the different kinds of social and cultural aspects of Groningen: Pub crawls, ice skating, workshops and a big party are some of the many activities!
More info on:
(the rest of their site can be found on http://www.wings-esn.nl/)
I urge members of other ESN-student unions, who read this post, to also quickly submit the details of their introduction week to this forum (unless I have done so already of course 🙂January 31, 2005 at 1:55 am #584
Thank you for using internationalstudents.nl to sell your laptop 🙂

I am looking desperately for accommodation in Maastricht and it seems very difficult to find some.
Do you have any clues?
Thanks! :confused:July 14, 2005 at 7:12 pm #587
According to ESN Maastricht:[/color:7de27869e5]
The best way to get accomodation in Maastricht is at the guesthouse. All the international students stay there during there stay in Maastricht.
Hope this helps. [/color:7de27869e5][/size:7de27869e5]July 15, 2005 at 6:15 am #588
Unfortunately, the Guest house is fully booked.
I was thinking about renting something private. But it seems that is not so easy… :confused:July 26, 2005 at 10:00 am #589
Try Chinese private market, and have a look at http://www.gogodutch.com student market column. If you don’t know Chinese, ask a Chinese student to do you a favour.July 31, 2005 at 11:44 pm #590
Private market can indeed be very difficult. You can check if anyone from Maastricht is coming to your University and if you can switch rooms. Or you can post an ad through one of the many room websites I have summed up in the Link Database.
Or, I just found this website, http://www.easykamer.nl/ (which is mostly in English). Although the number of entries are limited, you can always give it a try (free to begin with, until you want to respond).
Hope this helps.
